About The Artists

Carol Clark

Artist Statement

Life is an ongoing, evolving puzzle and daily we search for logical solutions .  My art parallels that life process.
As a part of a universe full of stimulating elements I, as an artist, must sift through the bombardment of colors, textures, shapes, and patterns found in everyday life and select those that are inspirational for me.
More difficult is capturing the essence of an idea, which demands focus, planning and simplification.  Add in creativity, utilization and manipulation of selected elements, to unify the  “puzzle pieces” for a completed visual work.
For me, the wonderfully, unexpected mingling of pure color on paper and the use of negative painting are intriguing and compel me to paint.
